Přinášíme další slíbené informace z návštěvy skupiny mladých Angličanů na naší škole od reportéra Jakuba Charváta, toho času žáka SPŠ.
Leearron, Libby, Jay , Ross , Harryson a Oscar z anglické univerzity Mattesey Hall prezentovali život v jednotlivých částech Velké Británie, místní zvyky, tradice a mnoho dalších zajímavostí. Po prezentaci se nám tito studenti věnovali osobně, mluvili jsme o našich zájmech, o tom co bychom chtěli dělat v budoucnu i o dalších tématech. Také jsme dostali pozvání do čajovny U Kocoura, kterého jsem se zúčastnil spolu s několika dalšími žáky z naší školy. K mému překvapení nebylo až tak těžké se dorozumět. Oni sami říkali, že naše angličtina je velmi dobrá, chválili naši výslovnost a vyjadřovací schopnosti. Probírali jsme mnoho témat, zkoušeli jsme naučit je několik slov česky, překládali jsme jim typické české vtipy, mluvili o filmech, našich zájmech, naší představě o budoucnosti. I nyní jsem v kontaktu s jednou ze zúčastněných, od které jsem se dozvěděl, že jim samotným se tu moc líbilo a doufají , že v České republice nebyli naposled.

We, students of Secondary Technical School in Chomutov, had a chance to meet students of English University of Mattesey Hall. The names of these students are Leearron, Libby, Jay, Ross, Harrison and Oscar. They explained us how life in each section of Great Britain is different, showing us many of their customs, traditions and many more interesting facts. After the presentation these students divided us into groups and started to talk to us about our personal interests and future. We also received an invitation into „U Kocoura“ teahouse which I accepted along with several other students from our school. To my surprise it wasn´t hard to communicate with them. They even praised our English skills, saying that our pronunciation and our ability to express ourselves were very good. We went over a lot of topics, even trying to teach them a few Czech words. In the end we were talking about movies, our hobbies and the dreams of our future. Even now I´m in contact with one of the students from whom I learned that they enjoyed their stay here very much and they hope this was not the last time they were in the Czech Republic.
